KTO Karatay University is conducting significant work in the fight against climate change and in the field of sustainability. Our university hosted the "Climate Change and the Future of Cities Workshop," held on December 20-22, 2023, under the leadership of MÜSİAD Konya Branch and Konya Carbon Certification Inc. During this workshop, transformation-focused discussions were held across various fields, from industry to energy, transportation to agriculture, urbanization to health, and environmental management, leading to the development of strategies aimed at the "2042 Carbon Neutral City Konya" vision. Over 100 session members addressed issues related to combating climate change across eight different themes.

Additionally, Dr. Fatma Didem Tunçez, head of the Energy Management department and the university's energy manager, has been providing information on climate change on national channels, contributing to public awareness on this critical issue. (Link) Through such events and academic efforts, KTO Karatay University continues to play an active role in the fight against climate change and in developing strategies for a sustainable future.
